Jamie T - If i were a boy (live cover)
I had the pleasure of seeing this man live this week and after seeing him tear it up at last years Glastonbury festival, i knew i was in for a good night.
From the moment Jamie T stepped out with his Pacemakers and opened with 'The mans machine' to ending the encore with 'Sticks and Stones' he had the crowd in the palm of his hand. His older stuff still sounded fresh and relevant and his new stuff blended perfectly as he captivated the crowd with his banter, unique sound and genre blurring music.
If you ever get a chance to see Jamie T live don't miss it but in the mean time check him out putting Beyonce's 'If i were boy' in a completely new context. Enjoy.

Jamie T was brilliant on Wednesday and the atmosphere in the 02 was buzzing. My favourite part was when he asked everyone to throw their bottles at him as a mark of respect and someone threw shortbread!
ReplyDeleteThis cover is beautiful, he really puts it in a completely new context like you said and you can appreciate the song from a man's point of view. xxx
This is a sweet cover. Really quite moving.
